I just came across your blog and am enjoying reading it.

Headaches are interesting, aren't they? Sounds don't bother me at all, but smell does me in. Scented candles, coffee, peanut butter - can't stand them when I'm in 'headache mode'.

Hi Brooklynn!

I hope you're feeling better since your post. I'm having issues with my neck as well these days. Thank goodness for a chiro with a heart. I don't know what I'd do without him. My doc actually uses some osteopathic techniques, as I tend to be a bit tougher than most. *aaahhhhhh*. Don't know if I told you, but my DD is pre-chiropractic in school right now. Can't wait for her to be done so I can get treated as often as I really need!

My name is Mary Davis and i would like to show you my personal experience with Topamax.

I am 46 years old. Have been on Topamax for 30 days now. I would not take this for migraines. I've tried everything for migraines but this was by far the worst experience I've had with any medication. I'm sticking with my Imitrex injections.

I have experienced some of these side effects -
I had the tingling feeling in my hands and feet. But I also kept having memory issues. Friends kept teasing me and saying I was on Dopamax. I thought it would get better. One day I started having constant seizures and ended up in Neurology ICU for five days. Almost killed me! It wasn't until they had me completely off Topamax that I finally became coherent. I remember nothing while in the hospital ICU. I was totally out of it.

I hope this information will be useful to others,

I used to wake up with headaches all the time. I discovered that I carried a lot of tension in my jaw so I was grinding my teeth while I slept. All the extra pressure created a headache and by the time I woke up it was too late. For me the trick was to learn how to relax my jaw muscles before I went to sleep.

Now I am happy to say that I no longer get headaches. No meds, no special treatments and no headaches. I try to document what I did at www.headache-mgmt.com

Wow, I live in OK but not in the OKC area but we do go to OKC every other month or so. The Tulsa area is where I call home and I can tell you about diversity my 2 children are Korean and my brother in law married an African American woman and she is awesome. We talk about racism a lot and the comments that we make to people that are rude to us. Our neighbor is gay and he has a lot of problems too because a lot of people in OK are just not accepting of others because we live in the Bible Belt. Anyway, there are great people here too...we have WONDERFUL friends that would do anything for you.
Housing prices here are way below the norm. but you need a car because everything is really far and you can't walk to anything unless you are at the park or designated walking trails. Email if you have more questions. My email is on my blog!
